Modern Slavery & Human Rights Statement
Introduction
Aderant is committed to understanding the risks of modern slavery. It does not and will not use unlawful child labor, forced labor or human trafficking in the manufacture of products it sells. It will not accept products or services from suppliers that employ or utilize child labor or forced labor in any manner. This statement outlines efforts Aderant will take to eradicate human trafficking and slavery from our organization and supply chains.
Organizational Structure and Supply Chains
This statement applies to all employees, workers, temporary staff and contractors of Aderant globally, including Aderant Legal (UK) Ltd in the United Kingdom and/or Hansco Automatisering B.V. in the Netherlands (both referred to in this policy as ‘Aderant’). This statement applies to all suppliers who deal with Aderant in either the United Kingdom or the Netherlands. In the event anything in this statement may conflict with local law, local law will control the interpretation and application of this statement.
Responsibility
The responsibility of anti-slavery initiatives at Aderant falls on all Aderant employees and suppliers. We strongly believe that we are responsible for promoting ethical and lawful employment practices.
No Aderant employee or supplier will use forced or compulsory labor, i.e. any work or service that a worker performs involuntarily or under threat of penalty. In addition, Aderant and its suppliers will not use any third-party recruitment companies or agencies that charge recruitment fees to prospective employees or otherwise act contrary to this policy or applicable law.
Relevant Policies
More information regarding Aderant’s anti-slavery policy can be found in the Modern Slavery & Human Rights Policy.
Due Diligence and Consequences
Aderant will actively work to eradicate human trafficking and slavery from not only within our organization but also from our supply chains. All suppliers, upon request, must certify that materials incorporated into the products they provide comply with the laws regarding human trafficking and slavery of the country or countries in which they do business. Suppliers who engage in human trafficking and slavery, or who otherwise violate this statement any way will have their supply agreements terminated.
Any employee of Aderant who violates this policy or related applicable laws will be subject to disciplinary action on the grounds of gross misconduct, which may result in dismissal. In addition, where applicable, violations of this statement by either suppliers or employees may be reported to local law enforcement agencies.
Performance Indicators and Reporting
To measure performance with anti-slavery efforts, suppliers must be able to demonstrate compliance with this Policy at the request and satisfaction of Aderant.
Appropriate training and awareness programs regarding Aderant’s modern slavery eradication efforts will be distributed to employees where applicable. Regular audits will ensure that Aderant is meeting the standards outlined in this statement.
Any employee or supplier who has knowledge or information regarding a possible violation is encouraged to either report the violation to their local human resources department or report the information anonymously through the Roper Technologies Inc. ethics hotline 0808-234-0350 (UK) or 0800-022-9081 (Netherlands).
