We recognize the importance of environmental, social, and economic sustainability and are dedicated to ethical business and governance practices in all areas of our operations. Our company conscientiously conducts business with continued regard for the health and safety of our employees and the communities in which we operate and serve. 

Aderant has earned a bronze sustainability certification from EcoVadis, the world’s largest provider of business sustainability ratings. As part of its rigorous certification process, companies are assessed in the following categories: environment, labor & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The EcoVadis sustainability recognition levels are based upon the percentile rank of each company’s cumulative score. Aderant will perform this assessment on an annual basis as part of our efforts to conduct ourselves as a sustainable business.

Environmental, Social, and Governance Committee

Established in 2021, Aderant’s ESG committee brings together a cross-functional team of employees working together to evaluate and establish strategies designed to support our goals.

We are dedicated to understanding the impact of our operations on the environment, our employees, and our society, then using that knowledge to identify opportunities to improve our organization as a whole. Every day, we are working to become more sustainable, and are passionate about delivering products and services that advance socially and economically conscious outcomes.

Environment

Environmental Sustainability

At Aderant, we are committed to understanding the extent of our impact on the environment resulting from our operations and the products and services we provide. As a subsidiary of Roper Technologies, Aderant participates in Roper’s ESG program, which includes calculating Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon emissions in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol Corporate Standard and the GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Accounting and Reporting Standard. The most recent annual report is located here. With this data, we will be able to evaluate our company’s impact on the environment and identify ways we can reduce our environmental footprint. Wherever possible, Aderant will conduct itself in an environmentally responsible manner, with the overarching goal being the avoidance of harmful environmental impact.

Human Rights

Modern Slavery

Aderant is committed to understanding the risks of modern slavery. It does not and will not use any unlawful child labor, forced labor, or labor as the result of human trafficking in the manufacturing of its products. It will not accept products or services from suppliers that employ or utilize child labor or forced labor in any manner. Our policy outlines the efforts Aderant is taking to ensure that human trafficking and slavery are not present within our organization and supply chains.

The responsibility of anti-slavery initiatives at Aderant falls on all Aderant employees and suppliers. We recognize the necessity of promoting ethical and lawful employment practices.

No Aderant employee or supplier will use forced or compulsory labor, i.e., any work or service that a worker performs involuntarily or under threat of penalty. In addition, Aderant and our suppliers will not use any third-party recruitment companies or agencies that charge recruitment fees to prospective employees or otherwise act contrary to this policy or applicable law.

Health & Safety

Aderant continually strives to provide a safe and healthy workplace in compliance with all applicable governmental laws and regulations. To support that initiative, our employees are expected to comply with all applicable workplace health and safety rules. If a position requires compliance with any workplace safety and health requirements, employees will be provided with the appropriate training. Threats or acts of violence will not be tolerated and must be reported immediately. Any employee who threatens or perpetrates a violent act will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment, civil litigation, and/or criminal prosecution.

Over the past several years, we’ve worked to expand our knowledge resources through partnerships with The Nova Collective, FranklinCovey, and the Illinois Holocaust Museum, equipping our team with skills (recognizing unconscious bias and microaggressions; balancing empathy and curiosity for authentic connection) and knowledge about historical landmarks to instill a better understanding of our history and context (e.g., the fight against apartheid in South Africa and the Stonewall riots). Our commitment continues today with scheduled company-wide educational events and quarterly training programs.

Each Aderant employee completes comprehensive on-the-job training, including annual professional responsibility programs, undergoes a rigorous background check, and commits to upholding Aderant code of professionalism and ethics. Aderant incorporates a mandatory employee education curriculum which includes the following programs:
