Aderant Clients Gain Value from Extra Effort During Uncertainty of Pandemic

CompuLaw Rules team shifts focus during an unprecedented volume of jurisdictional closures and date changes across the country.

Atlanta – March 26, 2020 – Aderant CompuLaw, the #1 calendaring and docketing software in the United States, is known for its quality and accuracy in calculating deadlines for the thousands of different jurisdictions, each with their own rules. Looking to provide extra value to clients during these unprecedented circumstances, the CompuLaw Monitoring Group, part of the Rules Department, has been consolidating information regarding the various courts’ responses to the COVID-19 pandemic and creating a comprehensive listing of changes by jurisdiction for CompuLaw clients.

The team routinely gathers data related to court closures due to national, state, and local holidays, as well as unique events such as hurricanes or wildfires that can unexpectedly disrupt court operations. With COVID-19 affecting many jurisdictions simultaneously, the team has been contacting courts directly via phone and email, as well as monitoring court websites to communicate the most current information to CompuLaw clients.

The team maintains a comprehensive document containing information relating to COVID-19’s effect on various courts and agencies on the CompuLaw Information Center (CIC), a page built into the CompuLaw Vision software that automatically comes up when a user logs in. The document is updated at least daily so that docketing personnel always have the most current information and can alert attorneys and plan accordingly.
