Expert Records Management organizes a firm's physical records and file room. It provides document tracking, reservation, request, and sign out functionality. The application tracks everything from individual documents to file boxes containing complete sets of related records. It can also track records by requestor, owner, client, project, matter, and sub-matter.

Expert Records Management tracks components at multiple locations, both onsite and offsite, as well as all aspects of a component's history, including creation date, distribution history, retention schedule, and final disposition.

Expert Records Management also creates labels for all components in its database and supports the use of optional software to generate bar codes. The application acts as a remote librarian, allowing users to request, retrieve, return, and transfer documents from their desktop.
