Chief Executive Officer
Giglio, who brings more than 25 years of executive management experience to Aderant, has an extensive background in software company operations, professional services, sales and marketing leadership. Aderant’s CEO for the past five years, his focus has been to bring clients to the very center of the company’s strategy. Giglio is passionate about building a team that cares deeply about both the clients and industry they serve and works hard to achieve top results.
Before joining Aderant, Giglio served as Senior Vice President of Client Operations for Surgical Information Systems providing services including implementation, consulting, and support. He joined SIS from McKesson Provider Technologies, where he served as Division Vice President of Services and Technology. At McKesson, he led the organization and growth of the company’s Program Management Office (PMO) and launched an innovative service offering that provided revenue cycle and clinical outcome improvements to physicians.
Prior to McKesson, Giglio served as Managing Director for Cerner Corporation’s Accelerated Solutions Center (ASC), where he decreased product implementation time by 50%.
Giglio holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University.
Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Price brings more than 25 years of executive management experience to Aderant. She has an extensive background in software company operations, professional services, and research and development leadership.
Before joining Aderant, Price served as Chief Financial Officer of Ventyx Inc, the world’s largest provider of software to the energy and utilities industry. She was responsible for all back office functions. Price integrated six acquisitions and established a highly effective team covering accounting, tax, finance, legal, human resources, facilities, and information technology. Price was also a key member of the transaction team culminating in a transaction valued at over $1 billion to sell Ventyx to ABB.
Price joined Ventyx via its acquisition of NewEnergy Associates, LLC from Siemens. Price was the President and CEO of NewEnergy and a founding principal of the company. NewEnergy provided planning and operational software and associated services to the energy industry. Prior to becoming the President and CEO, Price was the Chief Operating Officer and held many positions of increasing responsibility covering all areas of product consulting, software development, and back office operations.
Price holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from the University of Georgia’s Program for Superior Students.
Executive Vice President of Strategy and Product
Barry has over 25 years of experience in software research and development and holds more than 30 U.S. patents. His extensive work with Microsoft technology gives Aderant clients the solutions they need to run their business more profitably and meet the changing needs of the professional services industry. In addition to holding patents, Barry is a published author and a recognized technology leader.
He is responsible for setting and executing Aderant’s product strategies. While the legal industry is undergoing unprecedented change, Aderant needed to change as well, and Barry led the charge. To meet the ever increasing demands of the rapidly changing legal market, Aderant needed to decrease the time to market for new products from over 18 months down to six months, and the products had to be solid and robust upon release. Barry accomplished this by implementing innovative methodologies to understand client requirements, involve the client from the initial stages of the development and bring usability and simplicity to the forefront of every decision.
Barry has led the charge transforming Aderant from a time and billing system to the leading ERP system servicing the legal sector. While rearchitecting ll the traditional “back office” functionality , Barry’s strategy for Aderant front office applications enables clients not only to react to change, but also take advantage of the changes facing the legal industry. Barry is excited about all the success Aderant clients are enjoying utilizing Aderant products.
In addition to Barry’s patents in video teleconferencing, image processing, workflow solutions and document management, Barry also co-authored Networking Essentials and is a technical reviewer for Macmillan Publishers, Wrox Press and New Riders Press. Barry regularly publishes numerous thought leadership articles around the world on the legal industry and is a sought after speaker at technology and legal conferences.
Barry earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas.
Senior Vice President of Global Sales
Cartrett brings more than 20 years of experience serving the legal market and more than ten years of executive leadership to Aderant. He has an extensive background in software sales, service, and support leadership both in and outside the legal industry.
Cartrett comes to Aderant following a very successful career at Thomson Reuters. Most recently he served as Vice President of Sales and Customer Experience for the Large and Medium Law Firm segment. As the largest legal segment inside Thomson Reuters, Cartrett led several diverse teams serving customer’s needs for practice know how, practice management, e-discovery, legal research, and knowledge management. Prior to leading the Large and Medium law teams, Cartrett developed and led the global sales force for Thomson’s Hubbard One business, focused on law firm marketing and business development. He brings a wealth of legal industry experience and knowledge to the Aderant executive team.
Cartrett is a frequent speaker at marketing and technology events. He has spoken on numerous occasions to continuing legal education seminars, bar associations, and legal marketing organizations on emerging trends and best practices in law firm marketing. More recently he has spoken on the changing landscape of law firm profitability.
Cartrett holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management from Jacksonville State University and a Masters in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is married to Shannon and they have two children, Keely and Jake.
Vice President of Client Support
Carter has more than 25 years of experience in software and IT professional services that give him the knowledge and expertise to run the global Aderant Client Support organization while driving excellence and best practices.
Most recently Carter was Director of Strategic Initiatives for Aderant. He worked with executives from all Aderant divisions including R&D, Sales, Professional Services, and Support to implement strategic initiatives to improve company profitability. He was responsible for planning the acquisition and integration of CompuLaw, Client Profiles, and CRM4Legal into Aderant’s business.
Prior to joining Aderant Carter was Director of Cloud Alliances and Business Models for the Federal Systems division of Unisys. He was responsible for developing alliances with software vendors in support of a cloud-based platform-as-a-service solution offering. Carter came to Unisys Federal Systems from Unisys’ Financial Services business unit, where he served as Practice Director for the healthcare payments market. Prior to that Carter managed all of Unisys’ service delivery personnel in the southeastern US as Director of South Region Consulting Services. Concurrent with that role, Carter was responsible for the competency development of all of Unisys’ North American delivery personnel for Microsoft-based solutions.
Carter previously held senior management positions in technology consulting and professional services at S1 and Inmar. He also spent more than 11 years at Accenture.
Carter earned a BS magna cum laude in Business Administration from the University of Alabama and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Vice President of Global Professional Services
Wemyss brings more than 25 years of executive management experience to Aderant and has a successful track record of running large services organizations. She is responsible for leading the global Professional Services organization.
Most recently Wemyss was Vice President of Professional Services, Program Management Office and Compliance at Fiserv servicing the top financial institutions in North America. Prior to that she was Vice President of Business Operations and Professional Services for ChoicePoint, which was acquired by LexisNexis. She has held leadership positions at S1 Corporation and Keane where she was instrumental in maturing the Service Delivery model ensuring best in class services for Fortune 500 organizations. Wemyss began her career as a software developer and has worked in many software functional disciplines throughout her career.
She holds a B.S. in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Vice President of Marketing
Oxman brings to Aderant 25 years of experience in B2B technology marketing. Oxman has worked for industry leading vendors, global marketing agencies, and Fortune 500 corporations, helping them create and implement integrated marketing strategies that successfully improved lead generation and overall marketing ROI.
An award winning demand generation marketer, Oxman recently directed North America marketing at Sage Software, where he managed marketing programs that resulted in revenues of more than $300 million. He helped develop new product positioning, promotional tactics, and retention programs that increased both revenue and customer satisfaction.
Prior to Sage Software, Oxman was Vice President of Consulting & Business Development at the world’s largest marketing agency, Rapp (NYSE:OMC). Oxman helped companies such as Hyatt, Sony, Adobe, Pfizer, and Novartis build integrated online/offline marketing strategies. Oxman provided similar marketing consultations to clients of the world’s largest supplier of integrated communications, RR Donnelley.
Oxman earned a BS in Kinesiology at U.C.L.A. and an MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurism from the University of Southern California.
Vice President of Strategic Programs
Shure serves Aderant as Vice President of Strategic Programs, focusing on corporate development and implementing key strategic operating initiatives. Shure has more than ten years of experience, most recently as an investment professional at Thoma Bravo, a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on software and services companies. Prior to Thoma Bravo, Shure worked at Cambridge Associates, an investment advisory firm. Shure has been based in locations worldwide, including Boston, Chicago and Singapore, advising institutional investors on private equity investments across North America, Europe and Asia.
Shure holds an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Government and Economics from Cornell University.
